Lamenting the loss of 'The West Wing'. Tonight's the last episode. It has been such a great show. It's been very exciting this season. I can't believe they're not picking it up to see what Jimmy Smits/Matt Santos can do.

Well since Channel 4 stopped showing it here and now only broadcasts the series on it's satellite channels to try and get more subscribers, and since the DVD sets are still ridiculously priced I won't be seeing any of this for a long while.
That said I have been keeping track of things and I think this is a good point to end the series. Bartlett's Presidency has come to it's natural end and it makes sense to me that the show should end here. Seven seasons is a good run and it's better that it should have a natural end than be, say, cancelled halfway through the next President's term.

You're right, it does seem a natural place to stop. But, I'm greedy. I want more 'West Wing' and 'Doctor Who'! ;D

Always leave 'em wanting more!
Except for Doctor Who of course. We're gonna bleed this show dry! ;D

I watched West Wing tonight. I was expecting more. It was nice, but they kinda just walked through it.

I've not seen the last two episodes, but The West Wing is one of my favourite shows. I do think it's reached its natural end, and the Election Day episodes this year reduced me to tears. A fine show and a perfect piece of evidence against the theory that American TV is stupid and infantile.

I think there's a lot of quality on both sides of the Atlantic. (And admittedly some lesser material as well.)
