Sorry, I heven't been around. I've been dealing with a family situation. My 70-year old father was exploring an underground city in Turkey (something the Doctor might do) when he slipped on a step causing the tendons and muscles in his knees to rip.
And of course, it was a turkish holiday, so only the junior doctors were on duty. Getting him back home and to the right doctor has been quite a hassle.
He's finally had his surgery, and is home. It's been fun getting him up and down the stairs.
So I'm back. Hello? Anyone here?

That must have been a bit bit distressing for all concerned. I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

That puts my 'sorry i haven't been around to finish my story because I've had exams and been getting ready to move out of halls' firmly in the shade where it belongs!
Anyway, what an exciting thing to be doing, exploring underground cities. I hope your father heals up quickly. Best wishes!

That must have been a bit bit distressing for all concerned. I hope he makes a speedy recovery. Thank you Duncan. It has been distressing. Actually yesterday they rushed him back to the hospital because of a fear over his blood-thinner level. Turns out they forgot he had an iron pill that no one remembered but me. He's home again, and everything's fine. His recovery is expected to take three months. But he usually beats the doctors' estimates on these things. Thanks.

Hope your father is feeling better (and enjoyed exploring his underground city up until his accident - it sounds fascinating!)
