No, the horse doesn't get any wine, although she likes the stuff. It might cause problems with her medications though! The poor dear is on antibiotics and painkillers.
She's going to be all right but I've got to keep her foot tightly bandaged and keep it dry--which can be difficult here in Florida, with rainy season coming on. We'll manage though.
*sigh* It's been a stressful week. The wine was nice last night, think I'll have a glass tonight too. :-)

Aack! Now I'm expecting the sudden, extremely improbable appearance of falling geraniums and whales. Actually I don't know the tune to that song (I'll count that as a blessing, shall I?) but am familiar with the words, thanks to Douglas Adams. Certainly not a blessing. It is a good song made famous by Gerry and The Pacemakers. I have seen Whales and geraniums fall from the sky before but I have never seen a black and green flying fish with four raven wings and a lions head before.......I have now though it has perched on my shoulder and is sucking on my ear!!!

I think you might need to change your medications, Block.

No, it doesn't surprise me, Mare, the weather we've been having. Funnily enough exactly the same thing just happened to me. (Cheers to you and your horse BTW!) Has your creature gone now Blockhead? Maybe it was the same one hopping 'between', like a Pernese rider's dragon. It also sounded slightly reminiscent of a future pet I hope to acquire: Black, labrador-sized with a sizeable aquiline bill, and foldaway eyebrows like raven's wings. And an Archaeopteryx' tail. I'm trying to think of a name for it. Seen any of those winged cats too in Fortean Times? Thasc, you could get one to stop you feeling lonely It'd look cute sitting on the ceiling, and would be a surprise for visitors. Great conversation-starter!
