Aiming to build a fair representation of the 2005/2006 console, I am looking in particular for good views of the console - preferably from above. Or hints where in which episodes good screenshots occur.
Hope to post some pics of progress soon! And measured drawings if anyone's interested.
with help of some youth group members, kind donation of surplus materials by friendly building site foreman ;D, and.. it's amazing what useful bits you find in charity shops or just laying around...
I have already got loads of references from the BBC site (RTD's Tardis tour, Tardis Explorer, 3D views and Attack of the Graske) but some are unclear, so would value any pointers from friends here too. It's for the detail on the 6 radial struts and the wedge-shaped panels in between. I'll never duplicate it exactly but want to get the main, often-seen-on-screen bits near as poss so it looks right.
Reduced somewhat in scale though to fit in a domestic lounge, say 5ft diameter, and without cutting holes in the floor... ;D
Particularly looking for these rib details, in close-up:
*The handwheel on the triplet of parallel hexagonal tubes.
*The dimensional stabiliser/vortex loop/vector tracker (Graske).
This d-s (with crooked lever) is some gubbins with a notched wheel on the other side of it (that gets spun by the Doctor).
The vortex loop is a bicycle pump by another name, the vector tracker two dials on a perforated plate.
*The disc with clear tubes looping up out of it, with an oddly-bevelled lever housing just inward from it.
*The blue shining translucent box on one of the 'wedge' control panels.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks a bunch! Graham
