I pretty much thought the Star Trek franchise was in cold storage, with no more TV series, and an apparent end to the Star Trek movies. But apparently, there is a new Trek film in the works. From the look of the poster, you may get an idea of the direction the film will take, due out in 2008.  |

The graphic may be suggesting a 'genesis of the Federation' storyline, somewhere between Enterprise and the original series. It could mean a completely new cast.

It is rumored to be about Kirk and Spock in the academy. I've always wondered if they'd go back to the original Trek someday. I think they're trying to squeeze every last drop out of Star Trek. If it really is about Kirk and Spock, I suspect the film will be a dud.  |
