I watched the clip. He does seem almost masterly there. Maybe that is what the DW producers saw and decided he was right for the part of the Master.

A Central American Republic it says on the web page On the whole though I don't think Roger was all that good at doing accents, since a lot of the time he either goes too OTT or keeps forgetting to use them all together  What's that I hear you say Thasc having a dig at Roger Delgado deary me, that can't be right  |
