When they get dirty, turn em inside out and stick em back on. Once you've done that, leave them at the bottom of your laundry basket! ;D

That's what air fresheners and windows are for. Once they run out, just sum up the strength to either wash the socks or stick em in the bin!

It also appears in the Ancient Laundry Laws of Gallifrey. Apparently, Rassilon was a stickler about keeping whites and colours separate. ;D
