I thought he sounded upperclass English, they did say he was going to turn Scottish though....

I think RTD is having a game with us. Everybody expects him to revert to his classy accent, and he's getting our hopes up, only to dash them down again and have Tennant spout an accentuated Scotts accent.

No that is probably part of the game. He will sound like a Cokney and say 'Apples and pairs' and 'Move your plates of meat!'

That would be annoying...and RTD wouldn't be against gay parodies as he does mock it alot funnily enough.
Though I do doubt he will as there would be too much of an uproar!

Though I do doubt he will as there would be too much of an uproar! you really think there would be an uproar? Against RTD? Come on...the man's impregnable to criticism. People would just say, grow up will you and accept our sophisticated views. And they'd say, 'you people see sex in everything, you're so oversexed!' (that's the irony, b/c they put sex into everything and then when people point it out they accuse OTHERs of being sex-obsessed)

I see what you mean...It seems illegal to criticise RTD or the new series with some fans...

I see what you mean...It seems illegal to criticise RTD or the new series with some fans... Not just fans. The ones who count more are the critics, and the 'best' ones almost always praise him and lay the credit for the entire series at his feet. The man should leave pronto, b/c he's bound to already have a very unhealthy God complex.

I don't like the way he gets all the credit for brining it back..I mean there was a team involved and he is only the script editor...

And as I've always maintained, one man is not responsible for DW. The show brought itself back with its massive appeal through legend, re-runs, and merchandising.

Yeah and a BBC controller that actually liked it! Yes, and the fans that uncovered the fact that no rights problems existed. And the massive appeal of the show, such that ANY AUTHOR living could've brought it back successfully.

True. And the greedy BBC money grubbers who wanted extra cash! Yes, I like the fact that DW is a moneymaker. That's the greatest asset the show has. The funny thing is, I don't think in the show's history it EVER got series commissioned in advanced like they're doing now. It was always a tenuous thing. The fact they comissioned 2 more makes me a big nervous actually.

I see what you mean.
But the first was commision in advance......No but seriously I only think DW will last one more season really....Sadly.
