John Bauer is a Swedish artist famous for illustrating books and making frescos. 'Bland tomtar och troll' is the most book he illustrated.
His most famous character is the friendly Troll named Humpe:
Also his picture of Tyr and Fenrisulfr is one of my favourite Norse inspired works of art.
Him and his wife and son were killed in a tragic ferry accident.
