This was the first story in a long line of abonded continuity. This would have continued up to the end of the 13th Doctor's era...

Reasons for it being abondoned included...

1: Discovering the existance of all the Virgin NAs.
2: The New series

My original way of combating the 8th Doctor novels and audios which I already knew about (well the novels at least) was to have the Doctor leave his companions on Gallifrey to go to the Master's Trial. Then come back after all the EDAs. The way of getting past the VNAs would be to have it as a parralel universe series. But all in all it was abondoned, my brother wrote some for the 8th Doctor but that was all. I wrote this one and 3 others, pluse two incomplete ones. One of the incomplete ones was abandoned, the other I'm still trying to finish.

So here is

THE COMING INVASION (orginally titled the Invsible Invasion and later the Unknown Foe)

Chapter 1

“We will conquer your planet once and for all,” said the strange voice over the world Emperors radio “The many creatures that invaded may have failed because of the influence of one man known as the Doctor.”
The world Emperor sighed. He had read about the Doctor from old documents presented to him one day by a member of U.N.I.T, which had existed since the 20th century. The Doctor had been around then but he had also appeared in 2164 during the time when the Daleks had invaded earth. It was now the year 4000 and Earth was being threatened once more by an alien race. He was glad that most of the world’s children had been evacuated to a colony on Alpha Centauri 4. They had not sent or received any messages because they were worried that the new enemy would pick up the transmission and attack one of the ships.

“Doctor, are we ever going to land in Bethlehem at the birth of Jesus?” Ace asked as they materialised in yet another wrong time and place “We’ve been to the birth and end of the universe, got caught in World War One and you only decided where we’re going ten minutes ago and 10 minutes later we’ve been in three different points in time.”
“Yes I know and know we’re in a spaceship orbiting the Earth in the year 4000. May as well look at the scanner,” the Doctor replied flicking a switch on the TARDIS control panel.
The scanner showed a large sphere like robot like sphere but with lots of straight sides and triangular panels on it. The robot turned at left the scanner screen.
“It might have gone to report our arrival,” the Doctor suggested “I haven’t seen those since my first incarnation,”
“What were they?” Ace asked sounding worried.
“Mechanoids,” The Doctor replied sounding even more worried.
The Mechanoid had gone to report their arrival. This was the second ship they had captured using a device, which would capture any ship that was going to arrive on Earth or leave it. They had activated it ten days after their arrival having noticed so many ships leave the Earth. The first ship had been an evacuation ship. They had killed the crew of five when they fought back and took prisoner all the passengers as they had noticed that only the crew were adults. They had planned to modify them so they were part robot. They would need to remove the independence in the subjects brain and replace with a device which would allow the Mechanoids to control them and their was only one left to have this part of the operation done. They were then going to send these back to Earth and use them to conquer the planet.

The Doctor and Ace had been sneaking along one of the corridors for the past half hour until they came to a room marked LABORATORY.
“Should we go in?” Ace asked.
“May as well,” the Doctor replied.
When they entered they saw a several containers along one wall they seemed to contain human children, they were all wearing the same tight, black, plastic looking outfits. One was empty, and its contents was probably what was attached to a table in the centre of the room. the Doctor then spotted a blue print on the wall. He went over to look at it so Ace went to look at the child on the table.
“They’ve been modifying these children so their part robot,” the Doctor said from looking at the blue print “They’ve also removed the independence of each of them so they can control them. That one is probably not finished, it says hear to tap the palm of the right hand to switch it on.”
“Should I?” Ace asked.
“Yes,” said the Doctor sounding very serious.
Ace did so. The child jerked then opened its eyes and then shot a laser from his eye at the metal straps holding him onto the table. Once he had done this he sat up.
“Thanks for that,” he said to Ace “Man I hate those Mechanoids and I just want to get out of here.”
“Does Earth know you’re here,” the Doctor asked.
“No, they think we’re on our way to Alpha Centauri 4, unfortunately they told the crew not to send any radio messages in case the Mechanoids tracked them, and I think we’re the only ones that know that its the Mechanoids invading Earth, I also think we should get out of hear”
“Your right,” the Doctor said “Oh by the way what’s your name?” he added.
“Phillip,” he replied.
As the three of them turned to leave the laboratory but they found three Mechanoids blocking their way, flamethrowers poised.
“FIRE,” One of them said…

Chapter 2

The other two Mechanoids obeyed and two jets of flame erupted from them but at that moment Phillip activated some sort of shield and then his right hand morphed into some sort of cannon. He fired three laser bolts from it right at the Mechanoids causing them all to explode. Meanwhile in another room of the Mechanoid ship one Mechanoid was watching the surveillance cameras and saw the destruction of the three Mechanoids. He activated the radio.
“Inform the High Mechanoid that three soldiers have been destroyed by the incomplete Humanchine.”
Inside the TARDIS the Doctor activated the dematerialisation circuit while Phillip examined some of his new gadgets, he managed to produce two rockets out of his shoulders, enormous knifes out of his sides, jets in his boots, a circular saw launcher in his left hand, an ice gun and net launcher in his chest and he even managed to eject his brain much to Ace’s surprise. After it had sprouted mechanical legs and climbed back into his head he stopped examining himself and asked the Doctor where the toilet was. Once the Doctor had told him where he could find it he went off.
“At least he didn’t ask you why it’s bigger inside,” Ace laughed after Phillip was out of earshot.
“Well we’d best go to Earth and tell them what their up against,” the Doctor decided.

The high Mechanoid was ten times the size of a normal Mechanoid with a hyper flamethrower, which shot a laser and a flame at the same time.
“WE SHALL DESTROY THE INTRUDERS AND THE INCOMPLETE HUMANCHINE,” the High Mechanoid thundered “WE SHALL CONQUER EARTH AND USE IT AS A BASE FOR FUTURE CONQUSTS OF THE UNIVERSE.”
“SHALL WE DESPATCH THE REST OF THE HUMANCHINES?” His second asked.
“YES,” The High Mechanoid replied…

After Phillip had came back to the control room he asked the Doctor how long before they landed on Earth.
“We should have landed by now,” the Doctor said.
Sure enough they had landed in the capital of the world, Sky City, so named because it was made out of artificial land floating around the Earth’s sky since when total world peace had been declared so that there wouldn’t be any arguments about which country it should be in. There were solar powered flying cars going past and there weren’t any telephone wires around. There was also a large flying tank above them, probably the latest model if they went to war with the Mechanoids.
“Were does the world emperor live?” the Doctor asked Phillip.
“It’s the tall white tower with the rotating cone on top,” Phillip told him.
“Well, we’d best go and see him then,” Ace suggested.

Meanwhile on the Mechanoid ship the high Mechanoid was giving his orders to the Humanchine army. They all stayed perfectly still as they listened.
“YOU WILL FIRST ATTACK THE SKY CITY AND DESTROY IT, KILLING THE WORLD EMPEROR IN THE PROCESS, 035A YOU WILL KEEP THE EMPEROR BUSY WHILE THE REST DESTROY THE CITY,” He said addressing one particular Humanchine who happened to be the emperor’s son. “01A, PLUG ME INTO THE CONTROLER FOR THE BATTLE SHIPS,” he said to another one.
The Battle Ships weren’t very big (about the size of a dog) but very effective as they had weapons that had three destroy-levels (kill, vaporise and obliterate area) and had helped the Mechanoids defeat the Krotons.
When 01A had plugged the High Mechanoid in to the battle ships he ordered them to board the ship that they had arrived on. When they had gone, the High Mechanoid spoke to his second.
“THE HUMANS OF THE EARTH ARE UNAWARE THAT WE HAVE SENT A GROUP OF MECHANOIDS TO ALPHA CENTAURI 4 SO THAT WE CAN WHIPE THEM ALL OUT OF EXSISTANCE AND THEN USE THE EARTH AS A SPACE BASE FOR OUR OTHER INVASIONS,” he explained to his second.
“WHY ARE WE INVADING EARTH?” his second asked.
“BECAUSE MANY YEARS AGO A MECHANOID SCOUT SHIP CRASHED IN THE PACIFIC OCEAN, IT WAS POWERED BY A DRIVE KNOWN AS FLAMEWARP WHICH ALLOWED IT TO TRAVEL AT 1,000,000 MEGA METRES A MECHANOID MINUTE, WHICH TO A HUMAN IS 1,000,000,000,000 MILES IN 30 SECONDS. THE ONLY MECHANOID WHO KNEW THE SECRET OF IT WAS ON BOARD, SO NO OTHER SHIP HAS IT, IT IS IMPORTANT TO GET IT BECAUSE WHEN WE FINALY FIT A FLIGHT ENGINE TO OUR HOME PLANET IT WILL ENABLE US TO GET TO OTHER PLANETS AND INVADE THEM BEFORE THEY NOTICE.”

Chapter 3

“Sir, the Doctor wants to see you,” a security guard told the World Emperor.
“What, he hasn’t turned up again has he?” the World Emperor asked, sounding very surprised.
“Yes I have,” the Doctor said coming through the door.
“Why, I’ve always wanted to meet you ever since a member of UNIT recovered a report about you when you were their scientific adviser. I was especially interested in reading about the defeat of Robot K-1,” the world emperor said by way of greeting.
Meanwhile in the local spaceport, unknown to them the last evacuation spacecraft landed.

On the landing pad the passengers for the to board the next evacuation ship were waiting for the ship to arrive, when it did a hatchway opened. Then a large circular saw shot out of it and served off the heads or arms of 10 engineers at this moment everyone panicked and started to run away as the army of Humanchines exited the spacecraft and started shooting everyone in sight. 035A led at least twenty to the home of the world emperor, while killing everyone on the way and knocked the flying tank. They then entered the building where the world emperor was having a conversation with the Doctor.

“So the Mechanoids are the invading Earth,” the president said sounding worried.
“Yes, and I hope that we can stop them,” the Doctor said sounding just as worried.
“Sorry to interrupt your conversation fellows, but the Mechanoids army of Humanchines have started attack the city, and a bunch of them are heading this way,” Phillip said sounding panic stricken.
Just then twenty Humanchines blew the door open with their cannons pointing right at them. Phillip opened fire with his own cannon and managed to blast ten of out of the room, unfortunately their repair systems hadn’t been damaged and they all aimed their cannons at Phillip who was knocked through the window behind the world emperor’s desk at right to the ground some 2,000 feet below. While he fell he activated the jets in his feet and then spotted another Humanchine using its lasers in the sort of way as if it was cutting down the building like it was a tree. Phillip landed silently behind the Humanchine and tapped the palm of its right hand, which immediately switched it off. He then activated a remote transmission system in his brain; he then opened up the head of the switched off Humanchine and removed its brain while putting his own in its body. He then entered the building again, leaving his own body standing guard.

Meanwhile in the Earth’s sky fifty million Mechanoid fighters were screaming towards the earth and started attacking the polar icecaps with very hot lasers. The resulted melted them and started flooding the nearest countries, which were then attacked by three quarters of the fighters while the rest went to attack Sky City. Fortunately Sky City had its own built in weapons, which managed to take out all the attacking ships except one, which flew kamikaze into the weapons causing a vast explosion. The warning was received in the world emperor’s office, but this wasn’t any help, it just told him he had to get every citizen of the city evacuated, the problem was the city was being invaded by the Humanchines and he, the Doctor and Ace were being held captive by twenty of them…

Chapter 4

“WE ARE COMING CLOSE TO CONQUERING EARTH,” the High Mechanoid informed the other Mechanoids, “THE HUMANCHINES HAVE PROVED WORTHY, NOW, SOON SKY CITY WILL BE DESTROYED AND THE DOCTOR, THE WORLD EMPEROR WITH IT,” the High Mechanoid informed all the other Mechanoids.
Meanwhile, on another part of the Mechanoid ship another ship had been captured unknown to them. The occupants that emerged had a large doom on top with to flashing lights which lit up when they spoke, they were armed with a projective energy laser and a plunger, these creatures, were the Daleks, but they weren’t just ordinary Daleks, these had two extra projective energy weapons on the sides of their domed heads and generators round their eyes that generated a radio wave of 1 nanometre giving them x-ray vision whenever they wanted it but that wasn’t all these now housed two mutated Kaleds and so could separate the upper and lower half, and they had improved their invisibility function which they had been developing on Spiridon, but this time they could travel through solid objects, these were known as the Dalekcon. Just then a Humanchine who was accompanied two Mechanoids by that hadn’t been sent to Earth due to weapons malfunction was approaching the conference room were the other Mechanoids and the High Mechanoid were. As they passed the Dalekcon opened
“EXTERMINATE,” they all said in their robotic voices as they opened fire on the three enemies.
The resulting blasts destroyed the two Mechanoids and the Humanchine leaving nothing but small remains.
“INFORM THE DALEKCON COMANDER THAT WE HAVE LANDED SOMEHOW ON BOARD A MECHANOID SHIP,” a purple Dalekcon (who had the rank of patrol leader) ordered a blue Dalekcon.
“I OBEY,” the blue Dalekcon replied.

Meanwhile in Sky City the Doctor, Ace and the World Emperor were sanding behind the World Emperor’s desk as twenty Humanchines stood in the room with a smashed window behind them, then another Humanchine entered the room.
“There is a spaceship about a mile from this building that the Mechanoids want, we are to pilot it to the Mechanoid ship and take the Prisoners with us” he said as he winked at the Doctor unseen by any of the other Humanchines.
They all left the room and walked back to the TARDIS, the new Humanchine went in first and told the other Humanchines to let the Doctor, Ace and the World Emperor enter next. Then Phillip came round from behind the TARDIS and shot all the other Humanchines with his ice gun and then slipped into the TARDIS.
“Well that was lucky,” Phillip, said sounding pleased with him self.
He then walked over and to the other Humanchine and extracted its brain and placed it in his own head. The other Humanchine then collapsed.
“You’d better get back outside and try to organise an evacuation,” he told the World Emperor who immediately left the TARDIS.
Then the Doctor activated the TARDIS and it dematerialised right in front of the World Emperor who went back to his office and ordered an evacuation as the city gave a shudder. He knew that every citizen of the city was heading to the evacuation building where they would be boarding the escape pods.

The TARDIS materialised onboard the Mechanoid ship. As the Doctor examined the scanner he saw that there weren’t any Mechanoids in the corridor they had landed in.
“When we get outside I think we should split up so we can find the Humanchine control area,” Phillip suggested.
“Good idea,” the Doctor agreed.
Ten minutes later Phillip was wandering through the corridors of the Mechanoid ship while the Doctor and Ace and gone in the opposite direction. And while Phillip was searching for the Humanchine control area a Dalekcon was also in the corridor and Phillip hadn’t seen it.
“HUMAN SIGHTED, AWAITING ATTACK ORDERS,” the Dalekcon said so only he and the Dalekcon in the communications room on board the Dalekcon ship.
“DO NOT EXTERMATE, MAY PROVE USEFUL,” came the reply.
So the Dalekcon activated his cluster mode, the upper half, which housed the weapons, sprouted ten mechanical legs and climbed off the lower section. It moved silently towards Phillip and. without warning, it pounced knocking Phillip to the ground and clamping all of its legs round his body.
“What on Earth are you?” he asked sounding extremely surprised at being jumped on.
“REMAIN SILENT, OR YOU WILL BE EXTRMIANTED,” the Dalekcon replied.
“Oh really, and what makes you think that I’ll do the same thing to you?” Phillip asked sounding serious.
“YOU WILL NOT, YOU ARE ONLY A WEAK HUMAN, RESISTANCE IS INEFFECTIVE ” the Dalekcon replied.
“Oh really,” Phillip said half laughing.
At that moment he activated a saw in his left arm, which moved down it and severed the Dalekcon’s legs on that side, he then managed to throw it off and then blasted it with his cannon. After the resulting smoke had cleared Phillip activated his scanner, this is what it showed him:

SPECIES NAME: DALEKCON (MUTATED KALED)
FRIEND: NEGATIVE
FOE: POSITIVE
ACTION SUGGESTION: ATTACK

He took this data seriously, but as he’d already done the suggested action he wasn’t very worried. Unfortunately he didn’t see the lower half of it, which opened up revealing what looked a World War 1 tank about the size of a remote controlled car. A small gun rose out of the top and fired a very thin red laser, which hit Phillip in the back. Strange thoughts started racing through his head like: Who am I? How am I thinking this? I don’t exist! The mutated Kaled inside the Dalektank sent a message back to its ship.
“CONFUSION BEAM PROVES FUCTIONAL, THE HUMAN NOW THINKS HE DOES NOT EXIST, AWAITING ORDERS,” it said.
“PROVE IT RIGHT,” came the reply.
At these words the Dalektank fired a very powerful blast, which resulted in Phillip being blown to pieces.

Meanwhile on Earth the remaining Mechanoid fighters were attacking the evacuation building of Sky City, at least fifty of the escaped pos had splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean but the fighters had destroyed twenty other pods. The World Emperor had just boarded an escape pad which itself had just splashed into the Atlantic Ocean and looking up at Sky City saw it explode.

Chatper 5

The Doctor and Ace were doing the same thing as Phillip when they heard a loud explosion.
“What was that Doctor?” Ace asked sounding freighted.
“I don’t, or want to know,” the Doctor replied.
Just then seven Dalekcon came round the corner all with their weapons pointing directly at them both.
“EXTERMINATE THE DOCTOR,” they all said.
“NO,” came a voice over their communications devices, “WE MAY NEED THE TARDIS, SET WEAPONS TO STUN.”
They obeyed the order and after they’d fired their weapons they activated a hover transmitter making the limp forms of the Doctor and Ace back to their ship.

Meanwhile in the corridor where Phillip had encountered the Dalekcon, when the Dalektank had gone his rebuild system kicked in. He followed the sound of the Dalektank back to the Dalek ship. When he got there he watched two Dalekcon having a discussion about something.
“WE HAVE ANALYSED THE DOCTERS MIND TO FIND THE LOCATION OF THE TARDIS, WE ARE TO GO THEIR AND RETREIVE IT,” one of them said.
“THEN WE MUST PROCEED IMMEDIATELY AND EXTERMINATE ANY MECHANOIDS WE ENCOUNTER,” the second said.
At this Phillip activated a teleport system, which would usually be controlled by the High Mechanoid, this allowed him to appear right next to the TARDIS. He activated a hologram projector to disguise the TARDIS as a computer bank. He then turned himself into a replica of the TARDIS. When the two Dalekcon arrived about ten minutes later they entered Phillip thinking he was the TARDIS, he’d even gone to the trouble of copying the inside. Then Phillip decided to turn back into himself, much to the surprise of the Dalekcon and a nearby Mechanoid who immediately went to inform the High Mechanoid. When he had turned back into himself Phillip extracted two shrunken Dalekcon out of his chest. He extracted the Dalektank from one of them and extracted the mutation from in it and squashed it and the rest of the two Dalekcon. He let the Dalektank return to its normal size and once more activated his remote control system. He placed his brain in the Dalektank, which drove off while his body got into the disguised TARDIS.

The Mechanoids where now patrolling the ship looking for the Dalekcon. Most of them had been destroyed. That is until the High Mechanoid had ordered the use of the destroyer scanner. Every time it found a Dalekcon explosion sensors in the floor destroyed the Dalekcon. Meanwhile Earth had sent ten hundred squadrons of fighter planes to attack the Mechanoid battle ships. And they had even started firing Missiles at the Mechanoid ship, which had already lost seventy five percent of its mass. Phillip was looking for the Doctor and Ace while destroying all the Mechanoids and Dalekcon he encountered on the way. The Dalektank’s laser was very effective. It had been successfully used to destroy ten Dalekcon and thirty Mechanoids. After half an hour of searching he found the Dalekcon ship. He sneaked in silently as there weren’t any guards outside. His brain climbed out of the Dalektank as he activated his rebuild system and he knew that his original body in the TARDIS was being transported to where his brain was. As he walked away the entrance bay a fight had broken out between the remaining Mechanoids and Dalekcon.

The High Mechanoid had teleported all the Humanchines to the conference room so they could survive the destruction of Sky City. He had also gathered together the highest ranked Mechanoids on board; he even had a captured Dalekcon. He aimed his hyper flamethrower at him and all the Humanchines and Mechanoids aimed their weapons at it.
“YOU ARE AN ENEMY OF THE MECHAOIDS, YOU MUST BE DESTROYED,” the High Mechanoid said as all the weapons in the room were fired at the Dalekcon.
Then the high Mechanoid activated a teleport beam at everything that couldn’t teleport by itself and he also activated the teleport system in all the Humanchines which all left the conference room, going back to the Mechanoid home planet. All the Mechanoid battleships on Earth had been destroyed while the Mechanoids on Alpha Centauri 4 received the order to retreat.

Phillip, the Doctor and Ace exited the Dalekcon ship to find an enormous amount of wreckage of Dalekcon and Mechanoids. the Doctor chuckled but stopped quickly as they heard a large explosion, the missiles from Earth were now destroying the ship completely. They all headed for the TARDIS, while Phillip running also deactivated the holographic disguise round the TARDIS. When they were all inside the Doctor activated the TARDIS, which immediately dematerialised as the Mechanoid ship exploded.

Once they were safely on their way he asked Phillip a question.
“Do you want to go back to Earth?” he asked.
“No,” Phillip said, “Since the Mechanoids have made me half robot I’ll probably be bombarded by scientists. Plus I’ve never been to another planet or time.”
“Fair enough,” the Doctor said.
Phillip smiled; the Doctor didn’t know what Phillip had found out when the Dalektank had destroyed him earlier, he was looking forward to doing what he existed for…
