Is anyone watching the new series of Robin Hood? I think it's quite enjoyable as light entertainment, though I'd prefer it if it had less camp elements in it. Keith Allen as the Sheriff in particular, I think is a little bit over the top. Gisbourne is a really nasty piece of work though. Another thing is that the costumes don't look very mediaeval. I'm no expert on mediaeval dress, but did they really wear hoodies in the 1190s!? Still, all in all it's quite good fun as Saturday night viewing.

I havent bothered watching the new series. The actor playing Robin Hood looks too young and Keith Allen is more suitable to comedy acting like he did before.

Keith Allen is more suitable to comedy acting like he did before. I think that's the problem. He's much better at comedy, and so he's playing the character in a rather comical way - which I don't think works all that well. Mind you, in last night's episode we did get to see him being seriously nasty!

ER . . . NO.
I love "ROBIN HOOD" but the trailers for this show were enough to put me off and, what few minutes I've accidentally caught proved me right about this version
