Actor Gareth Hunt has died from pancreatic cancer. He was 65.
He was perhaps best known for his role as Mike Gambit in The New Avengers and for his appearances in the Nescafe adverts.
He made one of his earliest TV appearances in Doctor Who playing Arak in Planet of the Spiders and appeared in many well-known programmes such as Upstairs Downstairs. Softly Softly, Space: 1999, Minder, New Tricks and Eastenders.
Despite his illness he continued to work up until the end of last year.
