Another great episode. Very much a morality play.
Interesting comment toward the end: "I think your song may end soon." It was clearly a foreshadowing.
The series thread is not yet completely obvious. Shadow Proclamation was not mentioned in this one.

Yeah, I like being on edge trying to analyse every single obscure reference. The bees disappearing and missing planets are probably something linked to the season thread.
As for the episode itself, I really liked it. They're really spoiling us as far as supporting cast are concerned.

Hands up all those who really thought that Donna would turn out as good as she has done so far?

She's great isn't she? Even though I was never a member of the the Tate-haters I didn't think she'd be nearly as good as she's been in the past 3 episodes! And there's still 10 episodes, what else is she going to do?

I just hope that the re-introduction of Martha next week doesn't upset the balance.

I just hope that the re-introduction of Martha next week doesn't upset the balance. I think upsetting the balance is exactly what RTD has in mind. I expect they'll Rose-Sarah Jane type tensions. And then, Rose.

I doubt it, the Martha we saw in Torchwood is a much more mature young woman who's got her own life, is engaged and working for UNIT. Donna is one of the most grown up companions the Doctor has had, I think the two will get on really well together.
