I've noticed that Series 4 seems to be filled with strong women, more than usual. - Three Female Companions (With Rose being the Bad Wolf-Torchwood-Saxon element)
- Agatha Christie (As opposed to Dickens or Shakespeare)
- The Doctor's Daughter
- And now River Song

Yes, you're quite right. And will River Song be a future incarnation of the Doctor?

Yes, you're quite right. And will River Song be a future incarnation of the Doctor? I wouldn't think so. Perhaps a future companion. But I think more likely a reoccuring character.

There's all sorts of crazy theories over the identity of River Song. Is she a future incarnation of the Doctor? Is she his wife? Is she the wife of a clone of him? A really odd one is that she's Rose. A regenerate Jenny was suggested by one of my mates, but my personal favourite is Captain Jack put forward by a very good friend of mine because: "She has a squareness gun, has been to the end of the universe, and Alex Kingston looks like the Face of Boe...speaking of which, who else contacted the Doctor via psychic paper?" It's an interesting theory!
As for the strong women, I think it's something to do with the effect the Doctor has on these women, almost empowering them (Certainly in the sense of Donna and Rose and to a lesser extent Jenny) and with such a large returning guest cast in the finale, maybe this season is focusing on what it is the Doctor turns these friends of his into. I quote Donna when she said; "Is that what you do? Turn us into soldiers?"

I've noticed that Series 4 seems to be filled with strong women, more than usual. Nothing wrong with strong women. ;D (But are they strong enough to wear a cat suit?) ;D

Say yes to feminism in my opinion! Although I do think feminist should remain feminine as women are better than men, but they should be as strong as men and have a masculine side; just as men should have a feminine side! Are they strong enough to wear cat suits? Is anyone!

I doubt that. River Song mentions that just before she leaves, the Doctor showed up at her door. That doesn't sound like what a husband would do. I think a husband would already be inside.
BTW, welcome to the forum. Hope to see you around here more often.
