As both parties in the US Congress were finally coming together to vote on solving the current financial crisis, Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives decided before the vote to attack and insult those whose support she needed. And surprise, surprise, the vote failed.

In a time of national crisis, instead of doing what was best for all, she played politics.

As far as I am concerned, Nancy Pelosi is an Enemy of the State, and perhaps the world! What a selfish and stupid bitch!

Forgive my rant, but what she did was inexcusable.

I agree, Nancy Pelosi is opportunistic parasite. Truth is an alien concept to her, but it's an alien concept to many politicians, including George W. Bush.

The big question is what alternative do we have to politicians? Or how can we make them better?

Hmm. That is a good question. Perhaps we should have fairer elections and politicians that are truly elected by the people and representing the people? Politicians in theory are not a bad thing but politics has been corrupted.

Most people vote emotionally. Therefore, we get the government we deserve.

Voters vote for their own narrow special interests, and not in the interests of their country. So again, we get the government we deserve.
