A plague of mysterious deaths has been sweeping the country, in the homes of top civil servants, government officials and top army personnel. Each victim is from different walks of life and there appears to be no motive for each killing, and worse, in some cases the murderer appears to have disappeared into thin air.
Called back to Earth by some old friends at UNIT, the Doctor, Jess and Tom soon become embroiled in what is more than a mere murder mystery. What little evidence has been collected seems to point to the involvement of extra-terrestrial force.
Studying the latest murder scene, the Doctor makes a horrifying discovery leading him to conclude that his old enemy the Master is using the deadly plastic Autons as a tool in his latest plan against the Earth. However, things don’t seem quite as straight forward as they appear.
