There's always lots of talk of who should play the Doctor. But for fun, I thought we could discuss who should definitely never play the Doctor.
I'll start...

Actually I disagree. I think Dean Stockwell could have made a good Doctor; he was great in 'Dune' and even 'The Dunwich Horror' amongst many other films and TV shows.

I have never been a fan of the only British rule. The Doctor should generally speak English but I don't see why only Scotts, English, Welsh and N. Irish should allowed to play the Doctor. I think there are many fine actors in the US and Canada that would bring new dimensions to the character.
For instance, as odd as this may sound, I have also found James Avery to be a suitable American Doctor and the Candian Christopher Plummer would have been great also.
