For those of you who have seen waters of mars you too know this new side of the doctor...
I must say this new side of the tenth doctor scares me a bit. All of the wrath and anger and power. The doctor in this reincarnation has always been so forgiving, and so bound by rules, that it was completely unexpected for me to see him like this. So here are my questions: was this because he knew of his oncoming death? What did the loss of Rose, the master, and Donna effect this change? How will this affect him seeing the master again? And how will this change effect the 11th incarnation? The tables have turned. Before we knew that major historical moments – the holocaust for example- were safe, but this changes things. What other “rules” of his is he willing to brake?

It was surprising to see this attitude emerge. The Doctor is a powerful being. And power corrupts, at least it does for humans. It may be interesting to explore what makes a powerful being take the path of the Doctor, or the path of the Master.

I think in the next specials the Master is going to be the path the Doctor could (or not) take of he wanted to. A bit of a mirror so to speak.

It's always been a Holmes and Moriarty relationship. The Doctor went over the line, but quickly realized it. I wonder whether the next Doctor have to pay the price.
