Well Tennant's final story was epic. So what did everyone think?

Epic, yes. So much to talk about.
I noticed that RTD ended with an homage to his tenure as producer. All RTD's companions and aliens. Although, I loved the Star Wars bar.

A fitting finale to not only the Tenth Doctor but the RTD era in general: Bonkers, funny, moving and quite quite sad.
Things I didn't like: Martha and Mickey, after all that character development she's still left with Rose Tyler's sloppy seconds.
Barack Obama
Things I liked: The final scenes of the Tenth Doctor saying goodbye, especially the 'I think you're going to have a great year.'
The Master sacrificing himself to save the Doctor, the ending Barry Letts had always invisioned for the character.
Any scenes where Wilf and the Doctor sat down and talked.
John Simm.
Things I loved:
'I don't want to go' made me burst into tears!
The final reveal of who would knock four times was a superb piece of writing and direction.
The cheeky little throwaway reveal of Dalton as Rassilon.
Farewell to David Tennant, the man who's really made Doctor Who one of the best loved shows on television but a hearty welcome to Matt Smith who seems more than capable of carrying on the legacy.

I have to say I was disappointed. As usual it had the same RTD deus ex machina ending as we've had the past four years, the story ended half an hour early for some more drawn out and extended goodbyes, the story had more plot holes than a swiss cheese and three were many things that just made no sense and seemed totally unnecessary.
Although I will say that Tennants final words were very good and moving, thank Gods RTD didn't end him with an "Allons-y!" as I was expecting. And the brief intro of Matt Smith was good. Looking forward to his tenure now.

Deus ex machina solutions have been a staple of Doctor Who.
At least it's better than Time Lash, where Colin Baker walks on the set after a harrowing cliffhanger with no explanation, and simply says "I'll tell you about it sometime."
I thought RTD's ending 'visit to old companions' tour was ridiculous.
The "I don't want to go" line made no sense. He was regenerating, not dying. It was too focused on Tennant leaving, rather than a good plot.
