The Silurians/Homo Repitilia were great.
The crack, which to me always looks like a cruel smile, was back. Pulling a piece of TARDIS 'shrapnel' out of the crack, just makes the mystery deeper.
The 'flexible moment' versus 'fixed point' in time seems to me to be a bit rubbish.
It was sad to see Rory go. I hope at the end of all the crack mystery, Rory can be restored. I noticed that Rory left the engagement ring in a recepticle in the TARDIS console. I expect this will be significant in the future.

I was rather sad to see Rory go as well! I was really liking him as a character, and I thought the whole scenes surrounding his death were well done, Amy's horror, anger and distress fading way to forgotten memories.
Loved the Silurians. True, I'd have loved to see old fashioned style Silurians, but the prosthetics were fantastic.
And the TARDIS shrapnel was rather intriguing! I'm looking forward to seeing how that pans out!
And I'm with you on that, John, I think the engagement ring could be significant at some later point.

I really enjoyed this, a rather brilliant piece of drama. The Doctor telling Ambrose to teach her son to be the best of humanity because she couldn't be was sublime.
I was gutted to see Rory die, I was really enjoying the dynamic between the three characters and genuinely felt as if someone punched me in the stomach. I think it's going to add a very interesting layer to the Doctor and Amy's relationship now that he remembers Rory and she cannot. The Doctor's gonna sort everything out and bring him back though right?
Felt the voiceover seemed out of place, and there was a fair bit of pointless running around but otherwise every bit the classic Silurian story remade for todays audience.

Great story. A little padded, but so were so many stories in the classic series.
