What if you had just been cast as the Doctor? What costume would you wear? Would you be more partial to celery or jelly babies or _____? What would your companions be like? Be creative. (This should be a particularly interesting for our female Doctors.)

As the first female Doctor, I would wear a traditional Doctor's Victorian frock coat but with some lace beneath and around the edges.
I would have a sonic lipstick case.
My companions would be a hunky male companion named Turk, and a genetically-altered giraffe named named Graham.

Quotes nabbed directly from the new Doctor Who story; "Darkness Inside"
"What do you mean I look scruffy?! Scruffy? Clothes define character you know and well I suppose it's down to our own choices but I don't look scruffy. Do I?"
"Humbug? Sorry, you look tired pointing those guns at me how about you help yourself to a mint humbug? One each"
"Do I have any associates... that's a very good question. Indeed I do; just two others... Commander Emily Durrant of the Special Greenstar Squad, um... that doesn't exist anymore unless you're willing to look in a museum. The other might look fierce but he's harmless, he's a medtech from another dimension... I see, you look lost, well he's not hard to miss; he's a six foot tall insectoid pacifist and his skin tends to shift shape slightly, did I say he was harmless?"

i think id go for a darker, slightly more gothic style Doctor. A long black and grey patterned coat, with waiscoat to match. a 18th century stye shirt with a dark maroon cravat. black trousers and riding boots to complete the ensemble, with hair styled like a mix between McGann and Hartnell. I'd have a darker character, like moody Baker/McCoy/Eccleston (he played a great moody) wish slight eccentric quirks, like Troughton.
As for jelly babies, they're tempting, i like the Cybercontrollers idea of Humbugs. maybe lemon sherberts.
Companions, probably some a complete contrast, female, bright and cheerful, always moaning my Doctor is too moody. intellegent as well, to give good conversation, from the near future. male companion, probably again, an opposite, maybe taken from the sixties or seventies, fun loving, adventurous, but recless. good iniative, gentle unless riled, often makes accedental discoveries that are important.
