Very sad news today that Nicholas Courtney passed away peacefully this evening. One of the true greats of the show, to my mind, the Brigadier is as defining a feature of the show as the Daleks, the Master and the Cybermen. He will sorely be missed, and it's a real shame he never got a proper crack with one of the 21st century Doctors.

Very sad news indeed. He was a great actor. I too wondered why he never appear in the new series. At least we got to see him again in the Sarah Jane Adventures.

Terribly sad news. Could hardly believe this when I heard it. RIP Nick, a great loss and you'll be sorely missed. I'm proud to have met you and had such a good chat with you when I did.
