How did everyone like this frosty treat?

An excellent story to be sure. I've always thought the Great Intelligence should make a return. Loved the Tardis in the clouds.
And Clara/Oswin dies again. Is she trying to top Rory?

Not a bad Christmas Story. I usually enjoy Victorian era stories. The return of the Great Intelligence is long overdue. I enjoyed Ian McKellan's voice. (Although I'd prefer they use him in person.)
Obviously the Clara/Oswin paradox is going to be an ongoing mystery. Dying so many times, she must be related to Rory.
The new Tardis set didn't look particularly inviting. It's lost all the whimsy of the last interior. It looks like a Tardis the Master might have. Oh, wait...

Loved it. Clearly the best special we've had since the series returned. Loved the use of the Great Intelligence and the jokey references to the two Yeti stories! Was initially dubious about the return of Vastra, Jenny and Strax, but loved them; they were wonderfully and cleverly played and Strax was hilarious! A nice influx of comedy in an otherwise dark tale. It was also rather interesting to see that there was no sugary twee christmassyness to it. No happy after meal or people cheering the Doctor. It seemed like a normal Who, but set at Christmas. Oh, and the setting, superbly victorian. Just a shame that we couldn't have Jago and Lightfoot in it! Looking forward to the next run of episodes and Matts new costume!
