In a new series of threads, we are looking for your favourite stories from each Doctor's era. With a twist.
As we move on to each Doctor, the number of favourite stories in your list need to increase too. For example, you need to list your favourite two second Doctors stories, your favourite three third Doctor stories etc. When we reach Matt Smith, you will need to select your favourite 11, 11th Doctor stories.
So, to kick it off, what is your favourite one first Doctor story and why?

I know it's an obvious one, but I'm partial to An Unearthly Child. It has some on my favourite quotes: "Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a wanderer in the fourth dimension?" It will be interesting to see how David Bradley handles it in An Adventure in Space and Time.

Mine is The Web Planet. I think it's a really wonderful story, with a very interesting, different take on an alien civilisation. I realise some people think it's a bit slow in parts, but I think the originality of the story overrides that.

It was a toss up between An Unearthly Child, The Space Museum and The Keys of Marinus. In the end, I have gone for The Keys of Marinus mainly for the differnt locations and stories set within the main story.
