It has been announced by the BBC: Peter Capaldi is Doctor #12 (or is it 13?) I think choosing Capaldi was an inspired choice. I was wondering if they would go with an older Doctor to contrast with Matt Smith. How long has it been since the Doctor had grey hair? (OK, not since 1975) I'm very excited to see what Capaldi comes up with. Any other thoughts?

WOW!
Not even a new Doctor can encourage members to post?
What a big shame.
I for one am very pleased with the choice and am sure he will make a great Doctor.

A new Doctor is still worth celebrating, not that I want Matt Smith to leave.
If you think about it, this year, we're getting two new Doctors, if you count John Hurt.

I believe we've found a snippet of the 12th Doctor's script: "Tell Malcolm Tucker, I'm not that kind of f%#ing Doctor! What? You expect me to f%#ing! reverse the f%#ing! polarity of f%#ing neutron flow? Next, you'll be asking me for a f%#ing! Jelly Baby!"
