I think this is a great idea trying to get everyone together again. And, what better time than the 50th Anniversary?
I hope everyone shows up and posts. In fact, they should tell us all what they'll been up to. Make it a real reunion!
Is that champagne I see? I better get some before Thasc gets here.

As for me, I've been teaching and consulting. But I've also been working on a science fiction novel on the side. It's not time travel. But my secret plan is to publish my novel, then hint that I have some wonderful story ideas for Doctor Who. Hmm, I guess it's not a secret plan anymore. Hello, BBC? Oh, and don't worry there's plenty of champers for everyone.

Hello everyone,
I've been working hard as usual and missing all the laughs I used to have posting on various forums. But, since we closed the Final frontier, my passion for forums has waned somewhat. I doubt Thasc will be around as she no longer uses forums these days. But, I am forever hopeful that one day she will be back. yes, one day.........
Anyway, I trust you are all well and are looking forward to the Anniversary celebrations. I plan to have some chilled Cava and jelly babies on the day and thanks to someone elses idea, we plan to play pin the plunger on the Dalek!

I hope there is a pre-anniversary flurry of activity.
It's a nice diversion from real life. People of this forum have always seemed quite nice. Little drama here.
As for me, I'm just mulling over a job change. No longer happy in my profession, I want to quit, but haven't found a new calling. Time will tell; it always does.

Hard to imagine that it's 50 years now! It makes me feel old, given that I can remember the first Dalek story!

I think having Paul McGann contribute is brilliant. That means we'll see five new Doctor performances this year: McGann, Hurt, Tennant, Smith and Capaldi.

Good grief! Have I really been gone that long? I thought I was only gone five minutes. Well, that's what you get when you start messing around with the helmic regulator! 7 What a spectacular couple of months it's been though, eh folks?

Indeed.
The highlights for me were Night of the Doctor and The Five(ish) Doctors!

LB, it's great to see you again. Yes, helmic regulators can be tricky, especially if they're not synchronised properly with the temporal morganfinder.

Indeed. The highlights for me were Night of the Doctor and The Five(ish) Doctors! I enjoyed it all. Yes, there were some awkward moments and plot holes. (And far too many catch phrases.) I thought the scene with Tom Baker was far too self-aware. The dialog, wink and handshake were stupid. But honestly, was it any worst than The Five Doctors? What I didn't like was the saving of Gallifrey. Gallifrey's destruction gave the new series some wonderful pathos.
