I have a theory about the mysterious "Missy" of Series 8.
It's... RIVER SONG!
Think about it...
1. Moffat does like to bring back this creations.
2. River is trapped in a virtual world on the Moon circling the Library, sort of like an afterlife.
3. Missy calls the Doctor "my boyfriend"
And now for a bizarre conjecture: River wants to steal Clara's body because she's been trapped in the Library for so long. She is a sociopath after all.
