I've just seen on American TV, Prince William's off to Sandhurst. Is he really going to be in the real army? For instance, could he really be sent to Iraq?

Yes, it's true, he'll undergo officer training, just like any other recruit. But as for being sent to Iraq - I very much doubt it! He'll be kept well away from any real danger.

yeah, if needs be, he'd be given a high ranking or a desk job away from the main force of the "action".

Wasn't his father (Jug Ears) in the Royal Navy? I know it's not Iraq, but didn't Charles fly helicopters during the Falklands War?

Yes, I doubt they would ever send a direct heir into harms way.

"...and the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it."
