I really need a new opening gambit, the beads worked with the lovely Swedish girl Karen. However, she was going back to Sweden so she would never phone. But there was a blonde girl who kept looking my way on Tuesday night, but I think she thought I was going out with the girl I was chatting to. But this is a festival adventure, not a bride for Krondas adventure.
So what's next? Krondas is back at the Festival, and what's he up to? Well to be honest, not much, lost my Dara O'Briein ticket on Wednesday...
But on Thursday I had a lovely festivally day. Myself, Derek and Ben took a walk up the High Street looking at all the street performances. They really do milk their bloody magic tricks I tell ya! There was also some mentally handicapped people doing a performance, and some humourous musical performances. We then went to Princes St Gardens, hoping to see some entertainments on the Ross Bandstand...NOTHING! What's the deal with that? So instead we engaged in some beer, crisps and chat. Then we headed to the Gilded Balloon bar at Teviot and had some drinks. Then I headed off to see some shows in the Pleasance. Robin Ince, who supported Ricky Gervais on his last stand up shows. It was a very good show about the press, homeopathic medicine, Maxine Carr, Geoffrey Dalmer, and terrorism. Very very funny, and also very thought provoking.
Went to see Kevin Tomlinsons second show, and a drunk English woman sat down next to me, she was getting right into it.....she enjoyed the show too! Once again he proved that he is a really good talent whom I hope gets a big break at some point soon. Whilst in the queue, Jim Bowen walked past me, looking a bit lost. Adam Buxton of Adam and Joe also walked past.
Then I hurried through the rain, missing out a chance to have a chat with Kevin after his show to get to the Bedlam theatre for The Improverts, another improvised comedy show in the style of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" they were very funny, and made me forget that I had ran through the rain only to discover they were running late and if I'd stayed for a chat, then walked down there, I'd be there in plenty of time! However, I wouldn't have seen Richard Franklin who seemed to be making his way through the crowd chatting to young men....
Anyway, I'm taking a week long break from the Festival on account of work....boo!
