Toonopedia was quite interesting. I found this piece of superhero trivia: Superman was originally a villian!
A 1933 issue contained the story "Reign of the Superman" — their first use of the concept portrayed the superior man as a world-conquering villain.

Come to think of it, the Doctor started out as a villian -- well anti-hero at least -- kidnapping two school teachers. It this just a human desire to reform villians/sinners. Even Darth Vader was redeemed in the end. |
