Nix wasn’t aware that Kez was no longer following him until he reached a lecture room, he had gone inside and watched as an arc began to shimmer into view, he was about to go and find her when a booming voice from the very depths of the arc said
“Where is she Nix where is the alien? There is so little time left and you promised you would bring her to me!”
Nix was most apologetic as he stammered “I’m sorry my lord forgive me she was right behind me and now she has gone. Let me go and fetch her for you”
“Enough of your grovelling, you pathetic creature! I shall give you one more chance to prove you really are worthy to serve me. Fail me again and the powers I gave you can easily be revoked. Now go and find the alien and take her to the bridge I shall be waiting”
“But the book of Baalus surely you will need it to perform the ceremony once you are whole again. There are clues and references contained within it and to proceed with it out would have disastrous consequences for your well being” Nix nervously continued.
“”Never mind the book. You have your orders now go and carry them out before my patience with you runs out altogether”.
The voice faded and so to did the arc.
Nix strode out of the room cursing Kez. Kez and the young man found themselves running once more they were being pursued by one of the creatures called Azrions, every door they tried to open appeared to be locked and the creature was gaining on them with enormous speed.
“The library we must get to the library it may be our only chance!” the young man exclaimed.
“Which way is it? Quick before we get devoured by that horrible creature!” Kez snapped
The young man pointed “That way I think!” They ran along the hallway but the young man was now on the point of total exhaustion and he wasn’t sure whether he could make it or not, behind them the Azrion snarled and gnashed its teeth together.
The Master found himself pinned to the wall he could do nothing but watch the disembodied red eyes float ever nearer towards him. He didn’t know what was keeping him from moving but he used every ounce of energy he had to fight it.
“Who are you, what do you want with me?” he asked
The eyes stopped when they reached the bottom of the steps
“You know of this planets mythology I believe you are quite well versed in it!” an echoing voice began.
“I know quite a lot yes but what has that got to do with anything I don’t understand! Let me go at once or I shall……..”
“The answer to your question lies written in the ancient texts oh yes I am very well documented. As for you, you are Master of nothing. You are going to help me to fulfil my greatest ambition. Go to the London School of Economics building and there you will find, well hmmm yes the next part of you task” the voice continued with an evil chuckle.
“I’m not helping you do anything. I didn’t come here to help anyone!” the Master snapped. He managed to break free of whatever grip had been holding him against the wall, he set off sprinting towards his TARDIS. The eyes followed turning redder by the minute until they were a bright crimson colour. Suddenly the Master was knocked to the ground by some invisible force and he was being pulled backwards, towards the eyes……………………..
