Assuming that could not look like a police box, what would the exterior look like?

Whilst I am at work it would look like a filing cabinet and when I am at home it would look like a wardrobe ;D

What a good question.
One that I am obiously going to have to think about a lot more.

I liked the Master's from Doric column from Logopolis. And it would go nicely, in my backyard.

There can only be one choice - a teapot. This would cause a few difficulties in getting out, of course, but you could always adjust the dimensional control, and cause it to materialise as a giant teapot! As long as it was materialised in a place where it could pass off as a work of modern art, I expect it wouldn't cause to many problems!

I already have one ;D. It's disguised as a Rolls Royce Phantom II Continental - a real beaut of a car, I'm sure you'll agree... ;D
