The Doctor stared impatiently at the Master as he tried to steady himself by leaning on the TARDIS console
“Look we really don’t have time for this, Harry and I have to go and find Sarah, if you’re not up to it then I suggest you remain here” he snapped.
“I am recovering rapidly thank you for your concern Doctor. We do have a more pressing problem then rescuing your other companion!” the Master replied sounding more and more like his usual self. He brushed a speck of dust from his jacket and strode purposefully out of the TARDIS.
Harry looked on with amazement “I say you Timelord chappies really do have the most remarkable powers of recuperation. I thought he was at deaths door and now it’s as though there’s nothing wrong with him” he mused.
The Doctor straightened his hat, flung his scarf over his shoulder and said “Button your duffel coat Harry it’s time we were on our way”.
The storm was still holding off, the Master had wandered over to some rocks and was bending down examining something waiting for Harry and the Doctor to catch up
“Alright what have you found!” the Doctor asked.
“Blood, spots of blood which look as though they lead into those trees over there!” the Master replied.
Harry bent and swept his fingers over the snow, the blood was still wet “Doctor do you think we should follow the trail!” he began.
“Seems we have no choice. Stay close Harry and under no circumstances go wandering off. Lead the way Master” the Doctor replied.
The Master smiled “Dear oh dear Doctor you still don’t trust me, nothing much changes does it!” he said with a chuckle.
The Baron had been informed that Sarah had gone missing he had ordered a full sweep of all sectors.
“She has got to be found, she could ruin everything and make life difficult for you and the city!” he boomed over an intercom to the militia. He had to go and deal with an emergency in Sector 4 but then he would have time to deal with the young woman personally, he could not afford to let her spoil his plans
Sarah still felt light headed but she felt as though she was getting stronger all the time she found herself in some sort of control room there were all sorts of data banks and electronic panels round the room. A door glided open and Sarah ducked down behind one of the data banks, all she heard was some laboured breathing and a dragging noise, she saw a hand appear round the data banks, and it was all she could do to stifle a scream..........
