2007:- Government reports suggest a terrorist cell have acquired CIA files. Including a Doctor John Smiths files on the "Protection of American Interests in the Future Through The Past." project.
1940:- As the rest of the world goes to war, Americas economy is booming. However, a series of attacks from highly advanced weaponry cripples the country and leaves them open to invasion.
For someone who travels in time like the Doctor, it's always possible he'll get in his own way. His actions in one time-zone can cause trouble for him in another.
