If you have been paying attention to the world news (or national or even local news for those in the US), you may know that a disaster is in the making for the Louisiana and Mississippi coastal areas of the United States. An extremely devasating hurricane is on approach to those areas with winds sustained at 175 MPH. The hurricane is also extremely large with hurricane winds extending out over 100 miles from the center with tropical storm force winds extending over 200 miles out from the center. Storm surge is expected to be around 25 to 30 feet. Imagine a wall of water 4 to 5 times higher than the average person's height! Rain will be unbelievably intense with extreme flooding likely. What makes this situation worse is the area the hurricane will hit is normally more flood prone than most places. The hurricane will most likely make landfall sometime around 1 or 2pm Monday in the UK and around 7 or 8am Monday in the affected areas.
Please, if you believe in prayer, take a moment to pray for the people in the path of this storm. Or, just keep these people in your thoughts. Thank you.

They are in my prayers. If you all remember, we got very nervous last year when Blackmare, one of our own, was in the path of a hurricane in Florida. The people in the southern states off the Gulf of Mexico are facing a force of nature quite a bit larger and more dangerous.
Pray, even if you don't believe.

Prayers on the way. Money to follow after the damage has been assessed.
