Who was your favourite timelord? One of the Doctors? Or Romanas or Masters? Drax? Susan? Rani? Borusa? The Monk?

The Doctor of course. He is supreme and never shone more brightly than as Doctor Two.

The Doctor of course. He is supreme and never shone more brightly than as Doctor Two. I completely agree! One of the finest character's ever portrayed on film or television. Totally selfless, ethical, courageous, determined, implaccable against evil, infinitely merciful to good, curious about everything, excited, kind, fun, and always on a holiday while going about life. No Doctor ever captured that again.

No Doctor ever captured that again. Actually, I think the fifth Doctor did, though I do agree that the second Doctor was great, too. So I'd have to say my favourite Timelord is the Doctor in his fifth incarnation. Mind you, for a fine example of a gentleman villain, you couldn't beat the Delgado Master.

Mind you, for a fine example of a gentleman villain, you couldn't beat the Delgado Master. the main difference b/tween the 2d and 5th drs is that the Fifth Doctor always seemed exasperated and pained and hardly ever seemed to be having any fun at all. Whereas Dr. 2 was almost always having a ball no matter what and always got along w/ his companions. There was too much strife surrounding 5 to make him another 2, although I can see alot of 2 in 5 on other levels. I've always maintained that 5 attempted to copy 2's acting style, hence the overdone breathlessness and dashing about and some aspects of intonation.
