As the Cybermen are making a return next year, I was wondering which Cybermen do you like best? The original cloth-covered ones from The Tenth Planet? The metal ones like in Tomb of the Cybermen? Or the more recent ones with the wider heads?

I liked the ones from Invasion and Revenge of the Cybermen best.
This is the head that was shown in Dalek and is the most likely to be the model they use in the series 2 episode.

I just wonder how much updating they will do on the design.

I kinda like the Moonbase-Tomb Cybermen. What are those side things supposed to be anyway? Reminds me of PrincessLeia's hairstyle fromthe 1st starwars.

I didn't see any early Cybermen until the videos were releasd then I didn't like the voices. I do quite like the Silver Nemesis version.

I really liked the esign they used for Real Time, and i also like the 60s Cybermen, in particular the Wheel in Space and Invasion models.
oh, and Lauren, i beleive the head handles were first there i think to hold the lamp to the top of the head for the first Cybermen, and they've become a prominent feature now!

I always seemed to like the Wheel in Space ones because there were only two of them, yet the story managed to convey incredible strength, fear and inhuman ferocity in these two powerful creatures. Their plan entirely logical and so cold were they to do away with those who got in the way, like Chang, Duggan or Jarvis.
But recently I've picked on the half-human nature of the first Cybermen, so closely related to us, their hands still human, their eyes blinking and visible yet they're clearly not human at all; nothing more than animated corpses wired up to electrodes.
Scary stuff!

'The Tenth Planet' and 'Tomb of the Cybermen' versions. I absolutely loathe the 'Revenge of The Cyberman' version!
