This will just be pure spectulation, but how do you think McGanns Doctor regenerated into Ecclestons Doctor?
Theories, beleifs etc all welcome.
was it because of the time war? was it before the time war? was it some time after the time war as a result of some other force? or did McGanns Doctor survive throught to the end and regenerate naturally, like Hartnells?
What do you think?

There's no way of knowing, but it would be a poetic price to pay in the Time War. It would make a great story.
Perhaps RTD could make a special out of it.

I'd love to see McGann on screen again, especially in a Time War special.

it would be good. IMO he's a very underrated Doctor, especially as he had such a small amount of screen time. would have been great to see him in a series. he found his feet unbeleivably quickly; in less than an hours screen time.

I agree, McGann wasn't given a proper chance. I'd like to see him in a multi-Doctor story with Tenant.

I'd love to see McGann on screen again, especially in a Time War special. Maybe I'll write it as a fan fiction. Although it will be a while. I have to finish the story I'm working on now ( Firefly), And I've already sketched out an even better one to follow on. Perhaps after that... Hmmm, I'm getting an idea.

What if, the irony of it all that the climactic battle is with his old enemy the Meddling Monk, although a lot younger now and as the Doctor races to stop the fiendish master villain he's grabbed by a policeman, then bumped on the noggin for resisting arrest and bundled into a scenario straight out of the Bill. So while a soap-ish storyline winds on involving a corrupt cover-up concerning the Doctor, whilst the Meddling Monk pays a visit to bail out the Doctor.
The Doctor is mumbling, in concussion, sharing a cell with a thug, who hits him just to shut him up, he collapses, the Doctor and starts convulsing, the thug panics. The Desk-Sergeant thinks he's an addict, others think he's crazy, looking for some ID, tell the thug to stop shouting and his lawyer's on his way in.
There's a strange glow and the Doctor regenerates and adopts immediately the dialect of the thug while trying to communicate with him, he nabs the leather jacket off the thug and as the Desk Sergeant pulls open the door, the new Doctor thanks him, leaves quickly, nabbing a banana off a constable as he walks through the canteen, starts eating it and finishes it just he bumps into the Meddling Monk, he drops the banana skin into the villain's hand and off he strides, the Monk frowns and a few seconds later the interior police alarm goes off just as receptionist confirms that a prisoner's gone missing!
