If someone were going to remake the classic stories, which living actors would you cast in the part of the various Doctors?
Let's start with the First Doctor. Who could play William Hartnell's Doctor? He wouldn't have to play it exactly the same, but would be a grandfatherly type to Susan, and anti-hero to Ian and Barbara.
Any thoughts?

Yep, I agree with Slagathor, he was the definite Gandalf and I could see him as the Doctor, so lets have Peter Jackson take on the three independant and first book transposed to film!

I thought Patrick Stewart would have made a good Galdalf. Although, I'm not sure about him as the first Doctor.
