Yay! I can't wait to see how the new show handles historical periods. Hopefully as well as they've handled the future.

This episode is FANTASTIC. And most of the episodes after this one are even better (and I am including AOL/WW3 in that group... I just liked those episodes for some strange reason).

She would have made a great companion with her psychic abilities and her Victorian sensibilities. Callow was wonderful as Charles thingyens. [That's D i c k e n s. D**n filter.] ;D

What the Dickens? ;D
Yes, these filters can be annoying (and amusing) at times.

Although, I thought it was interesting that at the end, Rose is concerned about changing history, even though it's her first time in the past and the doctor hasn't made any warnings about changing history. Yet later, she'll not worry about changing history when it concerns her father.

yes, i know what you mean, i think its meant to come from a morality aspect, in that Rose doesnt think that its ethical to have the dead be occupied by the Gelth

Actually, I've come to believe that many politicians are Gelth, at least from the neck up. ;D

I think I noticed a cut. I think they cut out the part where the Doctor admires Rose in her dress. Am I wrong?
I'm sure the Doc will know.

They did cut the scene where Rose reappears from the wardrobe room. The Doctor tells Rose she is beautiful. Then Rose asks the Doctor if he is going to change. He makes a reference to his jumper or something. It kind of ruins the joke later when Dickens is not pleased with the Doctor's clothing; and, the Doctor asks "What's wrong with this jumper?"
They also took a few seconds off the beginning of the next scene where Rose does her Neil Armstrong impersonation with her one small step into the past. Just the very beginning of that scene was cut. The step into the snow is still there though.

They shouldn't mess with them!
