I don't want to vote yet, until I see World War 3. But I do have a few random comments:
I was amused by the Doctor having to watch what was going on on television. I also thought the bit with the Doctor dealing with the child and the remote was funny.
The passing gas was amusing, but overdone. (Will they keep passing gas in WW3?) Whatever the Slitheen are up to, they seem to be enjoying themselves.
The pig part was stupid. It was the first time I felt embarrassed for the new program, sort of like when they used stupid-looking latex monsters in the old series. The only saving grace was that it really was supposed to be a pig.

I agree that it was overdone, it was excusable when Joseph Green said that it was a nervous stomach but the scene in the cabinet room was OTT. Dont worry, there isnt as much in WW3

I was actually disappointed. It was a perfect opportunity to bring back the Brigadier, since they were bringing in all the "alien experts". As for the passing of gas by the Slitheen, my kids loved that, but unfortunately now like to do Slitheen impressions, ending with "Would you prefer silent but deadly?" [Thank you Doctor Who]

This was the lowest point in the new season, nay whole series, of Doctor Who. The acting was terrible, the script was dire and the 'gags' (if you can call them that!) were unfunny! The farting was never funny in my opinion. It was crude and pointless. I am glad that they did finally sorted that out!
The worst think about all this rubbish was that I was watching it with non-who fans who decided that it was time for them to sleep. They never want to watch DW again. I wanted to forget that damnable pig (which appeared just before the non-who fans left) which is perhaps the worst idea ever thrown into Doctor Who.
I rate this as '1 (Bloody Awful)'.

Well, that was unexpected. I didn't think it was quite that bad. But I defend your right to your opinion.

OK, thanks. I may be a little too harsh but I think this season of DW promised so much and gave so little.

The story itself was average - an attempt to do a Pertwee style UNIT story, and bring it up to date. It was also a good idea to show that Rose's disappearance had in fact had an effect on her family. I felt it was ruined by various things, though - the Doctor standing there grinning like an idiot in the middle of utter chaos - can you imagine Pertwee doing that? The fart gags got tedious after a while - one might have been funny. And to top it all, the aliens just weren't scary. Indeed, I wonder if they were based on the concept of the Ferengi in Star Trek, meant to be "comic relief" characters rather than an actual threat. The scene where Rose and HArriet Jones were hiding from them in Number 10 was just embarrassing. It was pure panto, that wouldn't have been out of place in season 17 or season 24. All in all, so-so.
