Sylvester McCoy apparently let slip that Peter Davison is to return in Series 4 as the 5th Doctor. Either this has been somewhat misreported (i.e. Sylvester saying 'Of all of us, I think Peter is the one who could make the most convincing return'), Sylv's gone mad or it's true...what do we think?

Outpost Gallifrey are reporting it. Although he cited Peter Jackson of all people as a source...it's all very odd.

In an odd way, this what you might get if you merged the 7th and 9th Doctors (being attacked by a 'mustache spider' of course). ;D

Of course, bringing back the Rani (And what is a Rani anyway?) would blow the whole "Last Timelord" thing. If they want a sexy temptress-villianess, get somebody younger. Although, one of them could play the old Rani ready to regenerate into the new Rani, a la Sir Derek Jacobi.

Well, new reports suggest this years Children in Need will feature both the 5th and 10th Doctor in a story penned by Steven Moffat! Dream trio or what?

I saw that report in The Sun yesterday and up till then, I was sceptical about the rumour of Davison returning. However, the rumour has a bit more credibility to it now it's being mooted as a CiN special.
Dimensions in time was rubbish, but Moffats comic relief effort was far better and I'm glad its rumoured to be him writing it.
