What do people think about Catherine Tate being in the upcoming Series 4. I didn't really like her in Runaway Bride. She was too much like Tegan, but more so.
In the trailer, she seems a little softer, not as annoyingly brash.
What does everyone think?

I'm dreading it to be honest. But, I can only base my opinion on The Runaway Bride. I didn't like the charecter of Donna and I am hoping she has changed for the new series. Time will tell and I am hoping I am singing her praises come the end of series 4.

She's going to be ace, we need someone who isn't in love with the Doctor (Or an ugly Doctor...) and we saw her begin to soften by the time The Runaway Bride came to its conclusion. I have to say Tate is the one thing I'm not worried about, in a series with the same format as all the others, with the risk of them doing a Cybermen on the Sontarans (i.e. fudging them completely) and a return of Rose Tyler, Catherine Tate's presence is the least of our worries!

I think she was supposed to be a somewhat annoying and abrasive personality in a comic way, which was supposed to be help drive the humor of a Christmas episode. However, having that personality on an ongoing basis would be a problem. She'll probably be somewhat comic, but a more mature version of the Donna we saw in the Runaway Bride.
