Don't think there is an answer. Run or not to run.
The problem I am having of late is getting something to sink my teeth into and don't have as much energy to start up new topics.
As LM goes I am doing changes, have done will do Oh and there is one board set up for Torchwood and gather I will impliment one for SJ Investigates soon. Maybe make both TW and SJI as one joint board.
Any how it is true I have postsed more on Redux of late. Must admit I find it liberating to voice out without editing swear words and I find it good for stress release so hope no one is offended on how I contribute. I go by the name Heretic Midlior and if you where good with anograms would have worked out it was me.

I've got to be honest, I'm losing interest in Doctor Who, and in consequence don't feel that much inclined to post about it now. I've found the last two series to be both disappointments. Although the underlying ideas for the stories were generally reasonable, in some cases very good, there's hardly been a story where my enjoyment hasn't been ruined by inane dialogue, soapy elements, or RTD's pathetically unfunny ideas of "humour". As I said, some of the stories have indeed been good as stories, but there have very few where I wouldn't rather watch a video of Pyramids of Mars instead. So much so that I'm wondering if I'll even bother with the next series. All the pro/anti-RTD arguments have been done to death, and there really doesn't seem to be much to add to them - I doubt that anyone will change their minds on The Great Man(!).
I'll probably watch the Christmas special and see what it's like. If it's abysmal (and I've got a very bad feeling about this!) I'll probably give up on the show. Sorry to say this, but it's what I feel, and I really am losing interest. Sad, considering I've watched the show since it began - but I suppose all good things must come to an end.

Thank you all for your input. I appreciate it all. I have some serious thinking to do. Feel free to add more opinions and suggestions.
It is a dilemma -- how to create excitement without being offensive. I thought the 'month' concept was a way, but that fizzled.

I've been busy, like everyone, but I'd hate to see this forum die. Please don't do anything rash.
With the second season beginniung in the U.S. perhaps we Americans can contribute more. I loved Tooth & Claw.

Whatever you decide to do Prof you have my full support I hope you don't decide to close the forum down though as I for one would miss it very much, it's always been like a second online home for me

I don't really plan on shutting the forum down. But I want to do something to make it thrive. And I admit, I've been very busy, so it's hard to constantly be in here to generate conversation.

It is a dilemma -- how to create excitement without being offensive. I thought the 'month' concept was a way, but that fizzled. Well think on this then. Why not expand this forum sideway. What I mean is that TFF in generally a cult sci fi of all make ups but has more focus on todays programs. TT40 could evolve into a British TV Cult site with main DW expanding to Blake 7 and so fourth. Just an idea which would make this forum different from the rest.

How about (new) Battlestar Galactica? I know it's not British, although it does have two British actors.

Redux is too extreme for me. I have had a look and although I am not prudish at all, the launguage being used on your forum is too bad to be seen on my screen when I have two children looking over my shoulder being nosey. I'll decline your general invitation to join if you don't mind. Ditto, Duncan. I don't mind a bit of colourful language (as I am from the north) however there is way too much swearing on that forum. Swearing online is not needed and it is easy to avoid swearing online unlike in real life. The reason the members of DWRedux swear is because of conformity and group mentality; they see swearing as the 'in thing' or the cool thing. Group mentality annoys me greatly and thus I doubt I will stay on that forum if I join it.
